So... Who do you think will win come May 7th, and in what way? I hope answers aren't blinded by "fanboydom" or hate towards a boxer.

I think it's a closer and more competitive fight than most do... I think Shane has a great chance of winning based on styles and mentalities of the fighters.
I wouldn't be shocked to see Shane win, either by stoppage or decision. I'll go with Pac by decision for now, but he's in a fight.
Shane never did well against elusive boxer types. He feeds off of guys that come to him. He won't have to look for Pac. Both will be right there in front of one another.
They'll give angles and step, use plenty of movement, but they both like to mix it up, and Mosley definitely hits harder. Shane can hurt Pac. I'm not so sure if Pac can hurt Mosley. That's why it's a real fight.
***This is an email reply to a buddy who was astonished that I give Mosley a remote chance of winning... He wants to bet me on a Pac KO in 6. He says he really thinks it'll be in 3. He really ripped me for giving Mosley, who he likes, a chance...***
Who has stopped Mosley? Oh yeah, that's right- NOONE. Even when getting his fucking ass handed to him and knocked from pillar to post by Forrest who, by the way, is a bigger, longer, taller, stronger, harder-hitting boxer than Pac is...
As for your question about if Shane hypothetically beats Manny, where does that leave the potential superfight with Pac and Mayweather? I say this has happened a million times in boxing; all a guy has to do is get past what looks like an easy, but credible, fight before a huge fight in the works... Sometimes those fights fizzle because this is boxing and shit happens. Curry-Hagler, anyone? Satterfield-Marciano? There are many more big fights that never got made, but would have been all-time great fights because the "opponent" didn't perform according to plan.
Shane may well lose, and alot of people have your opinion. But Shane has an ATG chin, is used to fighting bigger and better opposition, and this fight is more a style that Shane is successful against. Floyd vs Shane is a completely different thing than Manny vs Shane. You should know this.
I just watched the Pac-Margo fight the other day, and when Margo got offensive and got Pac on the ropes, hitting him with body shots and mixing it to the head, Pac had a different look on his face... Margo simply didn't do enough, and maybe that was something Pac was doing to him, maybe it was that Margo was too passive. I don't know.
This is a real fight, and a more entertaining fight than Pacquiao-Mayweather will ever be. These guys both come foreward and love to bang. It's a can't-miss for as long as it lasts.

I think it could be a anybody fight with Pacquiao having the edge because of his speed. Pacquiao and Mosley both are not fans of defense so they both are subjective of being caught with something that could make this fight more competitive than most may think.

Thank you for responding.
I have a feeling that Mosley's going to get TKOed (not KO). Pacquiao now paces himself and boxes well compared to his previous self.
If Pacquiao can utilize his advantages early in the fight, Bayless might stop it in the late rounds in favor of Manny. Shane is too stationary, although a good jabber and counter puncher, he lacks head movement.
This is anyone's fight stylistically speaking. Therefore Pacquiao should not underestimate Mosley. Mosley has troubles with defensive boxers, but performs well with aggressive boxers. He could barely handle Wright, and Floyd was just too much defensively at this stage of his career.
Like what Dave said... This will be a much more interesting fight, then when Mosley fought Floyd. Simply because of styles.
The 1st 5-6 rounds will be the most dangerous in my opinion. And if Pacquiao doesn't do well in the early rounds and eats too many clean shots from Mosley, it's either a decision for him depending on how he adjusts, or a KO win for Mosley. However, if Shane can establish his rhythm and counters and boxes well, he might win by decision. But for now... Shane is clearly the underdog, and he should be wise for this fight.
